Angelo Mangiarotti
Mangiarotti, cabinet
Cubistic layout cabinet, comprised of four identical sections, with in the middle an elongated aperture. Each panel is skilfully carved, showing fine lines and clear angular shapes. In addition, each panel contains a grasscloth front, which imparts the piece with an organic allure. A defining feature are the quirky, carved legs with rounded contours that are small compared to the substantial size of the body, creating a visually striking counterbalance. All in all, this cabinet reflects the design principles of the Mid-Century era that rose to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s in Italy.
Dimensions: H: 140cm x L: 135cm x p: 45cm.
